  • 1/2

    cup skim milk

  • 1

    tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla extract

    tablespoons margarine

    slices whole wheat bread

  • maple-flavored syrup, optional

Directions

In shallow bowl, combine egg beaters, milk, cinnamon and vanilla. In nonstick skillet, over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons margarine. Dip bread slices in egg mixture to coat; transfer to skillet. Brown about 3 min. on each side, adding remaining margarine to skillet as needed. Serve with syrup if desired. 2 slices without syrup: 224 calories, 400 mg sodium, 2 mg cholesterol, 5 grams total fat (24% cal. From fat) 1 gram saturated fat, 1 gram dietary fiber.
