Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked orzo
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook and drain orzo.

While orzo is cooking, cook beef and onion in skillet for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown; drain. Stir in orzo, tomato sauce and spices. Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.

Remove skillet from heat. Sprinkle with feta cheese. Cover and let stand 2 minutes to soften cheese.
