  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well blended. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
