Ingredients
- Salad:
- 1/2 head green cabbage, chopped
- 3 ounces chicken Ramen noodles
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- Dressing:
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 1/2 cup olive oil or 2T oil and 2T sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon hot chili oil, optional

Step 1
To roast nuts and seeds, combine on a cookie sheet and roast in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Combine sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper in large bowl. Whisk until sugar dissolves. Whisk in oil until well blended. Add cabbage and green onions. Toss to mix. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Mixture will wild and decrease in volume.
4 hours before serving, crumble uncooked noodles over cabbage mixture. Sprinkle with flavor seasoning packet. Toss and mix well. Cover and refrigerate. Noodles will soften as they absorb moisture. Just before serving, add nuts and seeds. Toss to mix.
