Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 c whole milk
  • 1/2 c heavy cream
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 T vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1 stick cold butter - cut into pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Grease 9 x 13 baking dish
Tear bread and evenly distribute.
Mix next 5 ingredients and pour over bread.
Refrigerate overnight.
Mix topping and sprinkle over casserole.
Add cubes of butter to the top.
Bake 45 min - 350* for soft bread pudding.
For firmer casserole cook 1 hour.
