Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. of lean beef or pork (or a mixture of both)
  • 1/4 C parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 C italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 T minced garlic (5 cloves)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 C milk
  • 1 T fresh oregano (or 1 tsp. dried)
  • 2 T fresh parsley (or 2 tsp. dried)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Shape the mixture into small-medium sized meatballs.

At this point if you don't want to cook them, you can put them in the freezer for later. Meatballs can then be cooked by simmering in pasta sauce for about 40 minutes.

OR

Preheat oven to 350°. Place meatballs on a baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes.
