Glazed Ham Steaks
- 1 lb. center-cut ham slice, 1 in. thick.
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tsp white wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Combine the sauce ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes. Grill ham over coals. Brush frequently with sauce on both sides, allowing 10 minutes of cooking time for each side. When done, place ham on serving dish, and pour the desired amount of sauce over dish.
