Ingredients

  • 1 pound sausage
  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups salted water
  • 2-3 T butter to taste
  • 5 eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 T milk
  • 3/4 pound grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cook sausage and drain. Cook grits and add butter to taste. Mix the eggs, milk and cheese. Pam a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.
Layer sausage, grits and egg/cheese mixture. Do not cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes.
