  • 12 oz good quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, cut up
  • 8 large egg whites(preferably pasteurized)
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream, whipped

Step 1

in microwave-safe large bowl, place chocolate. microwave on high 1 1/2-2 minutes, stirring twice. remove from microwave, stir until smooth. stir in butter until melted. set aside.

in another large bowl, with mixer on high speed, beat egg whites and sugar until soft peaks form. fold whites into chocolate mixture, then fold in whipped cream. spoon into dessert cups, cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. serves 8
