Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter room temp
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 eggs well beaten
• 1 TBSP vanilla
• 1-1/2 cups flour
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 tsp cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp ginger
• 1/2 tsp nutmeg
• 3 cups old fashion or quick oatmeal (not instant)
• 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs and vanilla and soak the raisins in the egg mixture for two hours.

Cream butter with sugars

In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients until blended
Add dry to cream mixture.
Add egg and raisin mixture
Form into balls and roll in granulated sugar and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Makes 2-1/2 dozen
