- 2 cups sugar
- 1 t cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup hot water (recipe says 3/4 cup)
- 2 T cold water
- 2 egg whites
- 1 t flavoring

Step 1
Put 1/3 cup sugar in pan with cream of tartar and hot water. Boil, rapidly, until syrup spins a thread 18 inches long. When syrup starts to boil start beating egg whites and gradually add cold water when very stiff. Slowly add the remaining 1/4 cup sugar. When syrup is done, pour over egg whites in fine stream. Add flavoring and spread.
