Appetizer Meatballs

Great appetizer served with toothpicks and Janie's BBQ sauce on the side

Ingredients

• Sauce:
• 1 lb Hamburger meat
• 1 lb Italian Seasoned Sausage
• 2 teasp Garlic salt
• 1 lg Onion (chopped)
• 2 eggs
• 2 cups Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
• 2 Tblsps Italian Seasoning
• 1 lg can Tomato Juice
• 1 pkg dry Lipton Onion Soup Mix
• 1 sml can Tomato Paste
• 2 cups Sugar
• 1 Tblsp Garlic Salt
• 1 Tblsp Lemon Juice
• Salt & Pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients with your hands to be sure to incorporate sausage & hamburger well together

Form bite size balls.

Place on Pam sprayed cookie sheet.

Bake for 30 minutes or until browned.

While meatballs are cooking place all sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pan and whisk together. Bring to a boil & cook on medium heat 10 minutes.

Serve meatballs covered in sauce or on the side.
