Ingredients

  • 2 cups shortening
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 large egg (slightly beaten)
  • 1 teasp vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

In a 1 cup measuring cup, add beaten egg, add 1 teasp of vinegar to egg, then fill the rest of the cup with water to make 1 full cup.

In a large bowl, cut shortening into the flour, then add water/egg mixture.

Roll out onto a floured board.

Divide into 6 equal parts.

Roll out to make pie crusts or freeze in saran wrap, placed into a ziploc bag.
