Ingredients

  • 3 lbs tart apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pkg refrigerated pie crusts

Preparation

Step 1

Pre heat oven to 350
Peel apples cut into wedges, toss with cinnamon and sugar.

Melt butter in cast iron skillet over medium heat, add brown sugar, stir until dissolved. Remove from heat, and place 1 pie crust in skillet over the brown sugar mixture. Spoon apple mixture over pie crust. Top with remaining crust. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar.

Bake for 1hr or until golden brown. Cool.
