Ingredients

  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups raw peanuts
  • 2 tblsp butter
  • 2 teasp vanilla
  • 2 teasp soda
  • 1/2 teasp salt

Step 1

You will need a candy themometer for this recipe.

Spray a large cookie sheet with Pam, set aside.

In a large sauce pan, combine syrup, sugar & water, bring slowly to temperature of 230 degrees.

Add peanuts & continue to cook to 300 degrees.

Remove from heat, add butter, vanilla, soda & salt, stir until blended well.

Pour onto sprayed cookie sheet, spread quickly with 2 forks.

Let cool, approximately 20-30 minutes.

Break apart & store in airtight container.
