Ingredients
- 7 cups flour
- 2 t. salt
- 4 1/2 T. baking powder
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped chives
- 2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 3/4 cup milk

Step 1
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, sugar and chives in a large mixing bowl; mix thoroughly. Stir in cheese, mix thoroughly. Add melted margarine and oil; mix until well blended. Add milk; mix or knead until dough pulls away from sides of bowl. Do not overmix.
Drop dough onto ungreased baking pan, using a large spoon or a 1/4 cup measure. Each biscuit should weigh about 2 ounces. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven about 20 minutes.
