  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 C. shortening
  • 4 T. cocoa
  • 1 C. water
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 2 C. flour
  • 1 t. soda
  • 1 t. cinnimon
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 C. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 T. cocoa
  • 6 T. milk
  • 1 pkg. powdered sugar
  • 1 t. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Place in pan first 4 ingds. butter through water. Bring to boil.

Mix sugar through salt together. Pour in boiling mixture from above.

Then add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Place in prepared jelly roll pan. Bake 400* for 20 mins. Frost while hot.

Frosting: Boil ingds together and pour over 1 pkg powdered sugar and 1 t. vanilla.
