Ingredients

  • 1 pkg german chocolate cake mix (& ingredients to make cake)
  • 6 tblsp butter (melted)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees; spray 2 - 8" round cake pans.

Prepare cake mix according to pkg directions.

Evenly divide cake batter into both pans.

Bake for 30 minutes or until done.

Let cake sit in pans for 10 minutes then invert onto sheets or wax paper; cool completely.

Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan & bring to a boil.

Let cool before icing both layers of cake.
