Chocolate Chip Kiss Cookie

Ingredients
- 1 9oz. bag chocolate kisses (unwrapped and set aside)
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
- CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE (Recipe follows)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until well blended.
2. Add flour and blend until smooth.
3. Stir in chips.
4. Mold into scant tablespoon of dough around each kiss, covering it completely. Shape into ball, place on an UNGREASED cookie sheet.
5. Bake at 375*F for 10-12 mintues.
Garnish with Chocolate Drizzle; let stand until set. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
Notes: cool slightly before removing from cookie sheet. Drizzle with chocolate before completely cooled.
A cookie scoop works well to put dough in a press kiss into before releasing from scoop.
Chocolate Drizzle:
Place 1/4 cup (50 mL) CHIPITS® Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Chips and 1 tsp (5 mL) shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) for 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave for an additional 10 seconds, stirring after each interval, until chocolate is melted and smooth.
