Ingredients

  • 3 LB halibut steaks - cut in half (1.5 kg)
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 3 tbsps lemon juice
  • 4 tbsps margarine/butter
  • 1/2 cup green onion - thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper

Step 1

Arrange steak halves side by side in a greased 9x13" baking dish. Pour wine and lemon juice over fish and cover dish tightly with foil. Bake at 375 oven for 15 minutes.

Remove fish to platter and keep warm. Pour juice from fish into small saucepan, add butter and onions, bring to boil and reduce liquid to 2/3 cup. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon over fish. Serve with green beans, rice and dilled parmesan tomatoes, and of course the rest of the wine.
