Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp ( 21-24 size)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 26 slices of bacon

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cut bacon slices in half
2.Wrap each piece around a large shrimp( peeled and deveined) and secure with a toothpick
3.In a large bowl combine soy sauce, ginger and brown sugar, whisk ingredients together
4.Add marinade to shrimp in bowl. Marinate for at least an hour
5.Preheat oven to 475, arrange shrimp in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet, Bake for 10 minutes
6.Turn on broiler and broil until bacon is sizzling and crisp at edges and shrimp are cooked through 2-3 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature
