Brown Butter Almond brussel Sprouts

Ingredients
- 2 bags (16 oz) frozen brussel sprouts
- I use fresh sometimes and microwave them until they are aldente
- 4 TBSP butter
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 TBSP freshly chopped chives (I elminate)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation
Step 1
2 bags (16 oz) frozen brussel sprouts
I use fresh sometimes and microwave them until they are aldente
4 TBSP butter
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1 tsp almond extract
1 TBSP freshly chopped chives (I elminate)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Place brussel sprouts in microwave and cover and cook on High 7 minutes. Stir halfway through cooking. Heat butter in a fry pan until it turns nut brown. Add almonds and toss to brown. Stir in extract. Add the sprouts and season with salt and pepper and toss. Cook another 2 minutes. Can garnish with chives and serve hot.
