- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
- dash powdered ginger
- dash ground white pepper
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons water
- 1 egg, beaten

Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, powdered ginger, white pepper, and chives. Bring to a boil. Stir together the cornstarch and water to dissolve cornstarch; pour into the boiling broth; allow to thicken. turn down to a simmer and stir gently while you slowly pour in the egg.
