Ingredients
- 4 lg bell peppers (seeded & tops cut off)
- 1 lb hamburger meat
- 1/2 lb sausage
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 1 can stewed tomatoes (drained-reserve juice)
- 2 teasp salt
- 1 lg egg (slightly beaten)
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Cut top of bell peppers & deseed.
Place peppers in an 8" square baking dish.
Combine the rest of the ingredients & spoon into each pepper.
Pour reserved juice from stewed tomatoes & tomato juice.
Bake @350 degrees 30-45 minutes or until meat is throughly cooked.
Top with cheese if desired & bake additional 5 minutes or until melted.
