Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sguar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking sida
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons grated orange zest
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tablepsoons granulated sugar

Step 1
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking sida, salt and orange zest in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until it forms crumbly mixture. Stir in raisins Beat one egg slightly in small bowl; add buttermilk. Stir egg butter milk mixture into dry mixture. Put mixture on floured cloth and kead it 10 times. Pat or roll out to 9-inch circle. Cut into 8 pie-shaped pieces. Place on greased baking sheeet. Brush tops with slightly beaten egg and sprinkle with surar. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
