Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp buttermilk (regular milk will work)
  • 1/2 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tbsp hot coffee
  • crushed candy cane

Preparation

Step 1

Place all ingredients (minus crushed candy cane) in the mug and mix together, being sure to scrape the bottom and sides to incorporate all dry ingredients into the wet.

Place in microwave and bake on high for 1-2 minutes. Remove from microwave and let stand for a couple minutes — it'll be hot! Cool.

Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with remaining crushed candy cane.
