SWEET AND SOUR GLAZED CHICKEN WINGS - Martha Stewart 0 Picture

  • 4 lbs chicken wings
  • course salt and pepper
  • 4 C Pomegranate juice
  • 1/4 C light-brown sugar
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp red pepper

Step 1

Prepare the wings by cutting through the joint to make two pieces. Snip off the tips.

Preheat oven 450.

Arrange wings in single layer on rimmed baking sheet. Season with salt and pepper and cook, middle shelf of oven unlit golden brown, crisp and cooked through. About 45-50 minutes. Turn half-way through cooking.

Meanwhile, in a sausepan combine Pomegranate juice, brown sugar, 1 tsp salt. Bring to boil and cook until reduced by 3/4.(It should coat the back of a spoon) About 35-40 min. Stir in chili powder and cayenne pepper.

Transfer cooked wings to large bowl, add glaze and toss to coat. Serve warm or at room temp.
