Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups pecans(5oz) chopped coarse
  • 7 tbsp butter or oleo
  • 1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 can(5oz)-2/3 cup evaporated milk

Step 1

put pecans and 3 tbsp butter in an 11 x 7 microwave dish. microwave high 8-10 minutes, stirring twice. put remaining butter in a 4 cup microwave measure or deep bowl. microwave on high 45-60 seconds until butter melts. whisk in brown sugar and flour, then corn syrup until blended. micro on high 6-8 minutes, stirring twice, until sugar dissolves and thickened. let stand 2 minutes, then stir in milk and pecans. cool slightly. pour into clean, hot jars or containers. cover and refrigerate.
