Ingredients
- 1/2 C unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 C packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 C applesauce
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 C golden raisins
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, toasted
- 3/4 C semisweet chocolate chips

Step 1
Preheat oven to 35oF. Lightly grease 2 large baking sheets. In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter until creamy. Add sugars and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, and stir in applesauce.
Into a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda salt, cinamonn, ginger and cloves. Stir into butter-sugar mixture until well blended; then stir in raisins, nutes and chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoonfuls, about 1 1/2 inches apart, onto baking sheets. Bake until golden, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove baking sheets to wire racks to cool slightly. Using a metal panncake turner remove cookes to wire rack to cool completely.
