Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1/3 cup warm milk
- 2/3 cup milk
- 4 cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp salt

Step 1
Cream butter and add sugar and eggs. Beat until light and fluffy. Dissolve yeast in warm milk; proof it. add remaining milk. Add flour and salt alternately with milk mixture to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Cover and let stand in warm place until doubled in size (1-1/2 hours. Punch down and turn into buttered mold, tube, or bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Turn out immediately onto wire rach and cool right side up. Can drizzle vanilla icing (1 Tbsp milk - 1 tsp light corn syrup - 1 tsp butter softened - 1/2 tsp vanilla) over while still warm.
