Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1 pkg Bakers German sweet chocolate
- 1/2 C boiling water
- 2 C sugar
- 1 C butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/2 C cake flour or reg flour
- 1 tsp B soda
- 1 C buttermilk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 egg whites beaten stiff
- 1 C canned milk
- 1 C sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 C butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Cook over med heat about 12 min then add 1 1/3 C coconut and 1 C chopped pecans

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks one at a time. Then add melted chocolate and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk. Fold in beaten egg whites.
Makes 3 layers. Bake at 350 35 min
