Ingredients

  • 2 strips bacon,chopped
  • 1 medium onion,minced
  • 1/2 teasooon paprika
  • 1 can (1 lb) sauerkraut,drained and rinsed
  • 6 cups bouloolon or 6 cups water and 6 bouillon cubes
  • 2 cups diced peeled potaoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 ready-to eat kiellasa (about 1 lb)
  • Salt and papper
  • chopped parsley

Preparation

Step 1

Put bacon in heavy 41quart kettle or Dutch Oven.saute over low heat 2 minutes.Add onion and saute,stirring occasionally,3 minutes.Add next 5 ingredients.Bring to boil,cover and simmer 35 minutes.Add sausage and simmer 15 minutes.Remove sausage discard casing and cut sausage in 1/2 slices.Put back in soup,Heat and season to taste with salt and papper.
Sprinkle with parsley.
