  • 6 - 8 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 12 slices of bread

Preparation

Step 1

In a pie pan, beat together egg, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, and vanilla.

Spray a large frying pan with cooking spray. Heat on medium-high heat.

Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan and cook 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden.

Mix together dry ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.

Beat together eggs, milk and vanilla then add to dry ingredients and combine.

Heat a large skillet or griddle. Add butter to skillet.

Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture and transfer to skillet. Cook, flipping once, until egg mixture is set and browned on both sides. Continue adding butter to the skillet, as needed, as you cook more French toast.
