Ingredients

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
12 oz chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Beat butter until fluffy, add brown sugar, flour, vanilla, and egg yolk, mixing and beating between each addition. Spread dough on greased 11x17 pan. Bake for 20 mins. Turn off oven.

2. Sprinkle chocolate chips over cookie mixture, and return pan to oven for 3 mins. Remove from oven. Spread melted chips with spatula. Sprinkle nuts on top. Cut into squares while still warm. Remove from sheet when completely cool.
