Crispy Peanut Butter Balls

Crispy Peanut Butter Balls 0 Picture


  • 2 c creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 3/4 c powdered sugar
  • 3 c crisp rice cereal
  • 4 c (24 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 c plus 1 tsp shortening, divided
  • 1/3 c vanilla or white chips

Step 1

In large bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until blended; gradually beat in powdered sugar. Stir in cereal. Shape into 1-in. balls. Refrigerate until chilled.

In large bowl, combine chocolate chips and 1/4 c shortening. Microwave on high until chips are melted; stir until smooth. Dip balls into chocolate; place on waxed paper-lined pan.

In a small bowl, combine vanilla chips and remaining shortening. Microwave at 70% until melted; stir until smooth. Drizzle over candies. Refrigerate until set.
