Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1 2/3 cups sugar
- 1 cup melted unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp vanilla
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter and set aside to cool.
While butter is cooling, beat eggs, adding sugar gradually. Beat until smooth.
Add vanilla to butter, stir in well, and add to egg mixture.
Sift flour and baking powder and add to egg mixture. Dough will be sticky.
Heat Pizzelle iron. Drop by tablespoon full onto iron. (Throw out first 2 Pizzelles to clean iron.)
Close lid and, depending on your Pizelle iron, leave closed for 20-30 seconds.
Serve plain or dust with powdered sugar. Can be shaped while hot. Store in airtight container.
