Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
- 1 envelope Italian Dressing Mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 8oz package of low fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (10 3/4oz) 98% fat free cream of chicken soup
- 1 can (4oz) mushroom stem and pieces, drained (opt)
- Serve with rice or noodles
- Can use Fat Free cream cheese and it saves about 6 grams of fat - but the dish benefits from he flavor of the low fat cream cheese over the fat free.

Preparation
Step 1
Place chicken in slow cooker.
Mix together Italian dressing mix and water; pour over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
Mix together cream cheese and soup in separate bowl; add mushrooms.
Carefully remove chicken from crock pot to a plate.
pour cream cheese/soup mixture into crock pot and mix together with dressing in the bottom.
Return chicken and cook for another hour - until chicken is no longer pink.
Cook on low until heated through.
** You may add skim/low fat milk in very small quantities to thin the sauce a little. It does not significantly affect the nutritional value if you use up to 2 TBS.
