Ingredients

  • 3 lb chuck roast
  • 1 t salt and pepper
  • 1/4 c brown sugar
  • 2 c water
  • 2 c ketchup
  • 3/4 c coke
  • 1/4 c liquid smoke
  • 2 T white vinegar
  • 2 T worchestshire
  • 1 T mustard
  • 1/2 t hot sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Sprinkle roast with salt and pepper. Rub 1/2 of the brown sugar into roast. Put in Dutch oven add water and cooked partially covered for 2 hours. Remove and shred. Bring rest of sugar,ketchup,coke,liquid smoke,vinegar,worchestshire,mustard and hot sauce to boil. Reduce and simmer 15 minutes stir meat.
