CREAMED CHICKEN ON TOAST # 2 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter/margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 chopped celery
  • 3 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 10 oz. condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 3 cups cooked chicken or turkey cut-up
  • Bread slices, toasted and buttered

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in heavy saucepan. Add onion and celery. Saute until soft and clear.

Sprinkle with flour. Mix well. Add next 6 ingredients. Stir until it boils and thickens.

Add chicken and heat through.

Place 2 slices of toaost on each plate. Divide creamed chicken among them.
