Preparation
Step 1
1. Remove the tray from the toaster oven. Cover the tray with foil and set aside.
2. Preheat the toaster oven to medium broil.
3. Use the can opener to open the can of tuna. Drain water from the can.
4. Spoon the tuna into a bowl. Mash well with the fork.
5. Add the mayo, salt, and pepper to the tuna and stir well with the fork.
6. Put the pita bread on the cutting board. Use the table knife to cut the pita in half, then cut each half in half to make 4 triangles.
7. Stuff 1 tablespoon of the tuna mixture into each pita triangle. (Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the leftover tuna.)
8. Tear each cheese slice into 2 pieces. Stuff one piece of cheese into each pita triangle.
9. Put the stuffed pita triangles on the foil-covered toaster oven tray. Put on the oven mitts and put the tray back into the toaster oven.
10. Broil the Tuna Cheesers for 3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Watch carefully.
11. Wearing oven mitts, use the spatula to remove your Tuna Cheesers from the toaster oven and put them on the plate. (Be sure to turn off the toaster oven.) Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then serve.
