Cracked Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 3/4 cup Sugar
• 1/2 egg (2 Tbls)
• 1/2 tsp soda
• 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
• 1 cup flour
• 1/4 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 tsp lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening and sugar. Add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Chill well.

Roll in balls, then in sugar. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
