- 7 tbsp butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp whole milk
- 3 1/2 oz (100g) chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
Sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together, and mix it in to the cookie mixture, until it is well combined. Mix in the milk.
Fold in the chocolate chips. Place tablespoons of the cookie mixture onto several baking sheets, spaced well apart as they will spread on cooking.
Bake the cookies in the center of the oven for 15 minutes, until just cooked. Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
