Ingredients

  • 2 cakes compressed yeast
  • 1 tbls sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup scalded milk
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 tlbs melted shortening
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 3-1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

mix and set aside yeast cakes and 1 tsp sugar. Then mix 3 cups flour, cup scalded milk and cup warm water.

To this add yeast mixture. Add remaining ingredients in order and mix.

Set aside until double in bulk - then shape into buns.

Let rise again.

Bake 375 degrees for about 20 minutes.
