Ingredients

  • Vanilla Almond Granola:
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter {I use 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. coconut oil}
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 7 c. old-fashioned oats
  • 1 c. chopped or slivered almonds
  • Cinnamon Raisin Granola:
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter {I use 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. coconut oil}
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 7 c. old-fashioned oats
  • 1 c. raisins
  • Maple Granola:
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter {I use 1/4 c. butter and 1/4 c. coconut oil}
  • 1/4 c. honey
  • 1/4 c. real maple syrup
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 7 c. old-fashioned oats

Preparation

Step 1

*Vanilla Almond Granola:*
Combine brown sugar, butter and honey and bring to a boil in a saucepan.
Allow to boil about 30 seconds and remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla and cinnamonPour over oats and almonds and mix well.
Place mixture in lightly greased 9x13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Stir well.
Either return to oven, turn off heat, and leave overnight -OR- reduce the heat to 200 degrees for about an hour stirring after the first 30 minutes, and then turn off the oven leaving the granola inside until the oven is completely cooled.

*Cinnamon Raisin Granola:*
Follow the directions above omitting almonds mentioned in step 4. Stir in raisins after granola has cooled.

*Maple Granola:*
Follow directions above adding the maple syrup to the saucepan ingredients.

Store your granola in a Ziploc bag or airtight container, or bag for gifts and secure with twist tie and some ribbon.
