Ingredients
- Simple syrup for glaze:
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 eggs, room temp
- 1 cup good whiskey
- 1 qt. chopped pecans
- 4 cups cake flour
- 1 tsp bkg. powder
- 1 lb chopped dates
- 1/2 box chopped raisins
- 1/2 lb chopped cherries
- 1/2 lb chopped pineapple
- Equal parts sugar and water, 1 cup each

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time, stir together flour and baking powder. Add the flour alternately with the whiskey. Fold in the fruit and nuts. Bake @325* for 1 1/2 hours.
Makes about 6 pound loaves.
Brush with simple syrup while still warm.
Wrap the loaves in cheesecloth and brush with whiskey for about a week.
