Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup Betty Crocker Potato Buds (probably will work with any similar brand, I used 2 of the 2 oz packages of Idahoan. Ignore the milk and butter required by the recipe)
  • fresh chives
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • cayenne to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation

Step 1

combine ingredients and fry in olive oil/butter on medium high until crisp, turn and turn again after b side is crisp. Cook until inside is firm.
