Ingredients
- 1 4 lb. chicken
- 1 lemon, halved
- 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 2 garlic cloves
- 3 Tbsp. butter, divided
- salt and pepper

Step 1
Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place lemon, rosemary, garlic, and 2 Tbsp. butter inside cavity of chicken. Fold wingtips under chicken, and tie legs together with string. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.
Place chicken, breast side up, on a small rack inside a 5 qt. slow cooker. Cook on HIGH 4 to 4 1/2 hours or until a thermometer in thigh registers 170 degrees.
Preheat broiler. Melt remaining 1 Tbsp. butter. Transfer chicken, br3east side up, to an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet. Brush chicken with melted butter, and broil to brown skin 2-3 minute3s. Let stand 10 minutes on a cutting board before carving and serving.
