Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Preparation
Step 1
In large bowl, beat butter, oil and sugars. Beat in eggs until well blended. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Roll into balls and coat with white sugar. Slightly flatten balls w/the bottom of glass.
Bake on ungreased baking sheets at 375° for 8-10 minutes or until golden but not browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
