Ingredients

15.25 oz spice cake mix (moist)
15 oz can pumpkin
2 TBS unsweetened applesauce
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 TBS light brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease muffin pan, do not use liners. Oven 350 degrees
2. Sift cake mix into large bowl. Stir in pumpkin and applesauce until no cake is visible - do not over mix.
3. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Spoon batter into prepare muffin cups to about 3/4 full. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over muffins.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of muffin comes out clean.
6. Cool in pan on wire rack.
