Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 c butter
- 1 c water
- 2 c flour
- 2 c sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. almond flavoring
- Frosting:
- 1/2 c butter
- 1/4 c milk
- 3 heaping c powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring

Step 1
Cake:
In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil. In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking soda. Pour the boiling mixture over the flour mixture and stir. Add sour cream, eggs and almond flavoring. Mix well. Pour into a lightly greased 13x18 jelly roll pan. Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
Icing:
In a saucepan, bring butter and milk to a boil. Pour over powdered sugar and mix well. Add almond flavoring. Mix and pour over warm cake. Let sit for at least 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
